Introduction

Green Aqua Joint Stock Company (Green Aqua) is an enterprise with code 4201984424 registered at the Business Registration Office of Khanh Hoa province, Viet Nam. Green Aqua was founded in 2016 by entrepreneurs and experts in the aquaculture and biotechnology industry from Viet Nam, Singapore and Australia.

Mission

Promoting regenerative aquaculture to improve the quality and value of water
Green Aqua aims for the sustainable aquaculture development with priority on promoting regenerative aquaculture aquaculture to improve the quality and value of water. 
  • Regenerative aquaculture is the practice of promoting the self-renewal of natural systems with the aim of reactivating ecological processes affected by human activities, e.g. polyculture, aquaponic, IMTA, IMTRAS. Basically, it is co-culture of different levels of the food chain species to recycling nutrients and increasing productivity. 
  • Green Aqua focuses on research and development in addition to social responsibility business to promote circular economy through climate resilient livelihoods, green growth, low emissions and protecting natural resources, which contributing to the sustainable development of the aquaculture industry.

Founders

Green Aqua's founders include experts and entrepreneurs in the fields of sustainable development and aquaculture who are passionate about promoting green and environmentally friendly development. Green Aqua believes that integrated multi-trophic aquaculture and restorative aquaculture with community participation will contribute to the success of green aquaculture industry. Currently, Green Aqua has been operating in the above areas in Viet Nam, Singapore and Indonesia.

  Dr. Dao Huy Giap received a PhD in Integrated Coastal Zone Management from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in 2005. He was the education director for the Eco Boat project, scientific director of UNESCO Vietnam, wetland specialist for the Mekong River Commission, economic consultant for FAO/World Bank, and research fellow at the National University of Singapore.
Mr. Luong Van Son is a dedicated person and has more than 30 years of experience with the aquaculture industry. He has extensive experience in hatchery, farming and trading of aquaculture seeds. Currently, he wants to devote his enthusiasm to sustainable aquaculture development through the development of spawning, nursery, and growing lobster
 Ms. Vo Thi Tuyet was born and grown up in a family with aquaculture in Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa. She does business and manages many companies in the local seafood sector. Ms. Tuyet has the ability and vision in company management and development. However, she also has many contributions and involvement in community livelihood activities and local environmental protection.

Advisors

 Prof. Lam Toong Jin is Emeritus Professor at the National University of Singapore. He has 60 years of research experience in the physiology/endocrinology of fish reproduction and larval growth, development and health, aiming to develop hatchery technology to promote larval rearing in aquaculture. More recently he has developed expertise in IMTA and in recycling of sludge from recirculating aquaculture system to produce bioflocs for feeding shrimps and fish larvae. He will help the company develop in the areas of reproduction, hatchery, nursery, farming and hatchery of lobster, and restorative aquaculture.
 Mr. Philip Gu is an Australian biotechnology expert, founder and Director of StemCell United and RainTrust Pte Ltd. He has been a post-harvest consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for more than 10 years. He is currently working in Singapore, focusing on developing technology for future sustainable food, alternative fertilizers and sustainable aquaculture.
