Green Aqua founders meeting

On September 30, 2023, the founder of Green Aqua Seafood Company met in Singapore to discuss the company's operating orientation.

Professor Lam Toong Jin emphasized the role of the regenerative aquaculture in promoting the self-renewal of natural systems with the aim of reactivating ecological processes affected by human activities, e.g. polyculture, aquaponic, IMTA, IMTRAS. Basically, it is co-culture of different levels of the food chain species to recycling nutrients and increasing productivity. And restorative aquaculture is the practice of returning natural ecosystems to their previous state, such as growing seaweed, oysters, or non-fed species.

Especially, Vietnam is the world's leading country in lobster farming. The need for lobster seed is very urgent due to the scarcity of natural seed sources and the unstable imported seed source. With the experience of members, companies, and exclusive patents from China and Australia, Dr. Philip Gu suggested that the company focus its resources on testing lobster breeding. This is a big challenge because currently in Vietnam as well as in the world, lobster seed cannot be produced at commercial level yet.
